UP Police Constable Vacancy 2026 Exam Pattern

Written Exam

• Such candidates whose applications are found to be prima facie correct will be required to appear in the offline written examination.
• i. The written examination will consist of an objective-type paper. The written examination will carry 300 marks and will be of two hours duration.
• ii. The written examination will consist of the following 04. subjects (1) General Knowledge, (2) General Hindi, (3) Numerical and Mental Aptitude and (4) Mental Interest, Intelligence and Logical Ability.
• iii. As per the provisions of Uttar Pradesh Constable and Head Constable Service Rules-2015 (as amended-2025), Uttar Pradesh Territorial Armed Constabulary Subordinate Officer Service Rules, 2015, Uttar Pradesh Mounted Police Service Rules-2016, Uttar Pradesh Special Security Force Rules, 2021 and Uttar Pradesh Prison Administration and Reforms Department Jail Warder Cadre Service Rules, 2016 (as amended-2025), the following minimum marks should be obtained in the written examination:
• Candidates who fail to score the marks will not be eligible for recruitment.
• (1) 30 percent for unreserved candidates.
• (2) 25% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) candidates.
• (3) 25 percent for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates.
• (4) 20% for Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
• There will be a total of 150 questions in this written examination, in which 02 marks are allotted for each correct answer.

How to Apply UP Police Constable Online Form 2026

• apply online, candidates will first register themselves on the OTR. They will then return to the Board’s website and submit their application form with all the details. After completing the application form, they will pay the fee online.
• 5.2 The online application process will be conducted in two stages. First, each candidate must register through OTR (One Time Registration). Only then will they be able to fill out the application form for the various recruitments conducted online by the UPPRPB (Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board).
• 5.3 To ensure the integrity of the examination process, Aadhaar-based OTP authentication will be used to verify candidate identity and other information in the public interest. To avoid any inconvenience during the various stages of the recruitment process, starting with the application process, all candidates must update their Aadhaar card data and the mobile number registered with it.
• After registering once, candidates can click on the above link again, log in with their registration details (login ID & credentials), and fill out the online application form for direct recruitment to Constable Civil Police and equivalent posts – 2025. Candidates can log in through the following methods:
• a. Account ID/Password or
• b. Aadhaar or
• c. DigiLocker
• ii. Candidates should fill out the application form only after carefully studying the rules/notification.
• iii. If a candidate submits an incomplete, defective, or inaccurate application form, their application may be rejected.
• iv. Candidates who are currently in government service must upload a ‘No Objection Certificate’.
• v. After filling out the application form, the candidate will have to make the payment.
