NPCIL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
- Essential Qualification: ITI Pass Certificate in relevant trade (Full-time/Regular) from recognized Institute.
- Applicants who are awarded gradation under the CGPA system are required to bring proof issued by the University/Institute converting the CGPA gradation into appropriate percentage, which should meet the advertised requirement for the post.
- If any ambiguity exists in deciding %age of marks where it is under CGPA/CPI pattern and conversion is not available or not provided by respective University/Institute.
Physical fitness for training
- Physical fitness of the candidates will be ascertained as per provisions of The Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules, 1992. However, following are the minimum standards that the candidates should fulfil.
- A candidate should be free from evidence of any contagious or infectious disease.
- He/She should not be suffering from any disease, which is likely to be aggravated by work during apprenticeship or is likely to render him unfit for work during apprenticeship or to endanger of health of the public. He/She should be free from evidence of Tuberculosis in any form, active or healed.
- Height: 137 cms and above
- Weight: 25.4 Kg and above
- Chest measurement: Expansion should not be less than 3.8 cms (irrespective of size of chest)
NPCIL Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
- The selection of candidates will be based on the percentage of marks secured by the candidates in respective ITI trade and the candidates are required to submit all the necessary information in the online application form.
- The candidates who have submitted all the necessary information in the online form will be shortlisted based on the percentage secured by the candidates in the respective ITI trade.
- Subsequently, selection of the candidates will be done after successfully completing the Document Verification process.
- In case of tie in the percentage of ITI marks, the candidate born earlier shall be considered. In case of tie in the Date of Birth, candidates with higher percentage obtained in 10th/ 8 th (8th class only in case of welder) standard will be placed higher in the merit list.
- Preference will be given to the eligible local candidates living within 16 km radius of Rawatbhata Rajasthan Site, P.O. Anushakti, Rawatbhata.
NPCIL Rajasthan Apprentice Recruitment 2026 General Instructions
- Candidates are required to submit duly filled application in the prescribed online format on or before the above-mentioned closing date.
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing Apprenticeship under The Apprenticeship Act, 1961 in any Government or PSU or Private Industrial Organisation are not eligible to apply.
- Candidates selected for training will not be allowed to withdraw from training except for reasons which are beyond their control.
- Before commencement of the training, the candidates will have to execute a Contract of Apprenticeship.
- Every Apprentice who has completed the period of training will have to undergo a test to be conducted by the National Council for Training in vocational trade to determine his proficiency in the designated trade.
- Only on passing the test, a Certificate of Proficiency in the trade would be issued by the National Council.
- The engagement and training are strictly in compliance with the provision of The Apprentices Act, 1961, The Apprenticeship Rules, 1992, and Guidelines for engaging apprentices in NPCIL there is no obligation for employment of the Apprentices on Completion of their training.
- Any person engaged to undergo apprentice training in a designated trade/discipline shall enter in to contract of apprenticeship with NPCIL as per the Apprentices Act, 1961 and the Apprenticeship Rules, 1992.
- The contract of apprenticeship shall terminate on the expiry of the period of apprenticeship training.
- Any premature termination or extension of contract of apprentice shall be dealt as per the provisions of the Act, 1961 read with the Apprentices Rules, 1992 and amendments from time to time.
- The apprentice after completion of the training shall have no right to claim any employment in NPCIL.

- Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria should first register themselves (as a candidate) on National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme 2.0 (NAPS 2.0).
- Interested candidates need to register themselves at National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme 2.0 (NAPS 2.0) related web portal of Ministry of Skill Development & Enterpreneurship i.e. “https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in”.
- The candidate must ensure that, his/her Aadhar Number is seeded with his/her Bank Account.
- After getting registered as mentioned above, candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria for any post may submit the application form available at the NPCIL website “www.npcilcareers.co.in”.
- Before applying, the candidate shall ensure his/her eligibility for apprentice training.
