Mode Of Fee Payment:
- a) ONLINE fee payment only through internet banking, debit/credit cards, or UPI will be accepted. All applicable service charges shall be borne by the candidate.
- b) Fee can be paid by the candidates through ONLINE mode only. There will be no option to pay fee through any other mode.
- c) Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be considered and will be summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection will be entertained.
Refund Of Examination Fee (for those attending 1st Stage CBT):
- a) Refund (duly deducting bank charges as applicable) of examination fees, wherever applicable, shall be credited only to the bank account seeded with the candidate’s Aadhaar number. During the application process, candidates will be required to validate their Aadhaar number.
- Upon successful validation, the bank account already linked with Aadhaar will be automatically shown for confirmation, which will be used for refund purposes.
- If no bank account is found to be seeded with Aadhaar, the candidate will be redirected to the NPCI portal for real-time Aadhaar–bank account linking and, thereafter, returned to the application page to complete the process. Candidates not holding a bank account may provide a family member’s Aadhaar-seeded bank account, as per the above prescribed procedure.
- b) The examination fee paid by the candidates whose application is incomplete or those who have not submitted their application or whose application is rejected, will not be refunded.
- c) The responsibility for ensuring linkage of a valid and operational Aadhaar-seeded bank account rests solely with the candidate. RRB shall not entertain any correspondence or claims arising out of incorrect, invalid, or non-operational bank account linkage.
- d) No refund of examination fee shall be admissible in cases of rejected applications or where the Aadhaar-seeded bank account linked by the candidate is found to be non-operational.

Railway RRB Group D (Level -1) Recruitment 2026 Eligibility
- 10th pass or ITI or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
- Please see Annexure-A for the prescribed qualifications for each post.
- (a) Candidates must already have the Educational/Technical qualifications prescribed in the CEN from recognized Board/Institute/University as on the last date (i.e. 02.03.2026) for submission of ONLINE application.
- (b) Those awaiting results of their final examination of the prescribed minimum educational/technical qualification SHOULD NOT apply.
- (c) Diploma /Degree in Engineering will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprentices/ITI for the post of Level-1 unless otherwise specified. Graduate Act apprentice will not be accepted in lieu of Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA).
- Note: The educational certificates viz. Provisional or Regular Certificates should contain the date of issue. In case, date of issue of these certificates is after the closing date of the notification, then the consolidated marks sheet with date of declaration of the final qualifying exam or individual mark sheets of all the semesters/years with date of declaration of each semester /year result should be submitted. In case of non-availability of date in any of these certificates, then a certificate indicating date of declaration of result from the Board/University/Institute to this effect should be produced at the time of DV.
Railway RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 Railway Act Apprentices
- The vacancies to be filled from among the Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAAs) trained in Railway Establishments and possessing National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) is separately indicated in the vacancy table.
- This will be in the nature of horizontal reservation as in the case of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs) and Ex-Servicemen.
- However, unlike in the case of PwBDs, there will be no carry forward of the unfilled vacancies, to be filled by this mechanism.
- In case of shortfall, the vacant slots shall be filled from others in the combined merit list.
- Closing date of online application i.e. 02.03.2026 of this CEN shall be the cutoff date for completion of Apprenticeship.
- A candidate shall be considered to have completed the Act Apprenticeship training, only if he has already appeared in the NCVT examination before the last date of online application i.e. 02.03.2026, the result for which might not have been declared.
- Further, the candidates shall fill up the detail of marks obtain and the status of passing in the said certification in the RRB portal when the modification window is opened at appropriate time.
- Candidates who fail to fill up the marks will be awarded zero marks against the NCVT weightage, and accordingly the merit list shall be drawn.
- Subsequent representations to consider the marks under NCVT weightage beyond the modification window or through other modes of communication shall not be considered.
- However, the candidate should submit the NAC certificate issued by NCVT during document verification failing which he/she shall not be eligible for reservation as CCAA (trained in Railway Establishment) under this provision.
- The course completed Act Apprentices will be eligible to apply for any RRB/RRC irrespective of the Railway establishment in which they have been trained subject to fulfilling other eligibility conditions.
- The Course Completed Act Apprentices will be given due weightage for the marks obtained in National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) examination such that one third of the marks in preparation of the final merit list after conduct of CBT shall be based on the marks obtained in National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) examination.
- In situations where the marks obtained after adding the NCVT score is less than that of the marks obtained originally in CBT, then the higher/best of the two marks obtained by the candidate will be awarded for preparation of the final merit list.
- The Course Completed Act Apprentices will be exempted from Physical Efficiency Test.
- Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAAs) trained in Railways should upload their details of marks pertaining to NCVT examination during online application.
Railway RRB Group D Recruitment 2026 Exam Pattern
Computer Based Test (CBT):
- All the eligible candidates have to undergo a Computer Based Test(s) on the specified date(s), time and venue(s) as per the e-call letter to be downloaded by the candidates from the websites of CENTRALISED EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION (CEN) NO. 09/2025 28 RRBs/RRCs.
- The information about the e-call letter download shall be communicated through the websites as well as registered email ID of the candidates.
- The examination duration and number of questions for CBT are indicated below:

- *The examination duration will be 120 Minutes for candidates who are eligible for use of a scribe.
- The section wise distribution given in the above table is only indicative and there may be some variation in the actual question paper.
- There will be negative marking and 1/3 marks shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
- Minimum percentage of marks for shortlisting in various communities: UR-40%, EWS-40%, OBC (Non creamy layer)-30%, SC-30%, ST-30%. These percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2 marks for PwBD candidates in case of shortage of PwBD candidates against vacancies reserved for them.
- Where a second stage CBT is deemed necessary and held, the Railway Administration reserves the right to treat the first stage CBT as a qualifying test for the purpose of short listing of reasonable number of candidates for the second stage.

Mathematics:
- Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work, Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc.
General Intelligence and reasoning:
- Analogies, Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc.
General Science:
- The syllabus under this shall cover Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level (CBSE).
General Awareness on current affairs:
- Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and any other subject of importance.
Railway RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Tests (PET)
- Based on the merit of the candidates in the CBT, candidates shall be called for PET three times the community wise total vacancy of the Posts notified against RRBs/RRCs.
- However, Railways reserve the right to increase/decrease this ratio as required to ensure availability of adequate/reasonable number of candidates for all the notified posts. Passing Physical Efficiency Test (PET) is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. The criteria for PET are as under:

- The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) consists of two stages. To ensure uniformity, candidates will be tested for Carrying of Weight to specified distance in specified time first and if successful in this test, for the Running Test after a recovery gap.
- Failing in the first Test, i.e. Weight carrying will mean elimination at that stage itself.
- The Weight carrying test will involve lifting a sand bag (without any handle) from a bench/platform at around waist height and carrying it in whichever manner candidate wants to carry above the ground till the destination point without dropping the sandbag on ground.
- The Course Completed Act Apprentices will be exempted from Physical Efficiency Test

- Candidates must read all the information and instructions given the detailed CEN carefully before filling the ONLINE application to prevent mistakes.
- Create an Account
- Create an Account with RRBs: · Candidate must first create an account for this CEN by using the link provided on the official RRB websites listed at Para 24.0 (A) below.
- Candidates who have already created an account for previous RRB CENs should use the same login credentials to apply for this CEN as well using the link provided on the official websites of RRBs.
- A valid personal mobile number and active email ID are mandatory for receiving OTPs required during account creation.
- No changes will be allowed to the details entered in the “Create an Account” form later, including the mobile number and email ID.

- a) Candidates must use only the link provided on the official RRB websites for applying against this CEN.
- Please read all the information and instructions given in the detailed CEN carefully before filling up the ONLINE application.
- b) Candidates must fill the ONLINE application form with correct information and re-check before submission.
- c) Applicant will not be able to make any correction in the ONLINE application after submission of the application. (Except during application modification window on payment of extra fee)
- d) Medium of Examination: Questions for CBTs will be available in English, Hindi and 13 regional Indian languages (viz., Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu). Accordingly, candidates must choose their medium of examination from any one amongst those listed in the ONLINE application form. CBTs questions will be displayed in the language opted and in English.
- e) Order of Zone Preferences under chosen RRB: The candidate must provide order of Zone/Railway unit preference for the notified posts as applicable.
- f) Multiple applications to different RRBs or same RRB, will lead to rejection of all the applications. Any attempt to submit more than one application by a candidate against this CEN shall result in disqualification and debarment from the recruitment process.
- g) After submission of application, candidate will be directed to opt for the mode of payment of examination fee as explained in para 7.1 and complete the payment process. IMPORTANT: Please be cautious about the genuineness of the mode of payment as well as Last Date for payment of Application fee payment for the submitted applications against this CEN. While making payment avoid unauthorised websites.
