• Candidates applying for the posts must possess the minimum educational qualifications as specified in Column No. 5 as on the date of notification.
• Where diploma is essential qualification for the posts as mentioned, candidates holding degree in specified discipline are also eligible to apply.
• However, Diploma or degree will not be considered as higher qualification in place of ITI where ITI is mentioned as the essential educational qualification.
• Deviation in terms of qualification, or in case of qualification from unrecognized University/Institutes, will not be considered for further process of recruitment.

Station Controller/Train Operator:

• The job profile of Station Controller/Train Operator (SC/TO) is inter-changeable in nature as per the requirement of Metro rail operations.
• The candidates will be responsible to perform all duties in shifts including night shift, as required for Operations of Metro Rail, Depot Control Centers, Operation Control Centers, Customer Care Centers etc.
• upkeeping of Metro stations and all relevant works, as decided by Company from time to time.

GMRCL Non-Executives Recruitment 2026 Exam Pattern

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) type OMR based tests for all the posts will be held on one or more days.
• Question paper will be in English.

For Station Controller / Train Operator (SC / TO), & Junior Engineer:

• The test will consist of 120 questions (each carrying one mark): Technical Knowledge (40 questions), Gujarati language (20 questions), Logical ability & Reasoning (20 questions) and Quantitative aptitude (20 questions), General English (20 questions).

Maintainers (MNTR):

• The test will be of 100 questions Technical Knowledge (40 questions), Gujarati language (20 questions), Logical ability & Reasoning (15 questions), Quantitative aptitude (10 questions) and General English (15 questions).
• All questions are to be attempted compulsorily.
• There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every unattempted question/for every wrong answer/for an instance of multiple answers against a question.
• If a candidate does not know the answer to a particular question, he/she may mark option E on the OMR sheet for that question.
• Marking Option E against a question will be treated as an attempt and will not invite a negative marking.
• Duration of the test will be 120 minutes (2 hours).

• As the applications are to be processed by a Computerized System, it is essential that the application should be filled properly and completely.
