UPSSSC Auditor and Assistant Accountant Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions

• All candidates belonging to reserved categories in Uttar Pradesh must clearly indicate their category in the application.
• Candidates claiming benefits under more than one reserved category will be allowed only one concession—whichever is more beneficial to them.
• Candidates who are not domiciled in the state of Uttar Pradesh are not eligible for reservation benefits; such candidates will be treated as belonging to the unreserved category.
• Reservation for Ex-Servicemen (those who have retired by the last date of application, i.e., 03-08-2026) will be granted in accordance with the provisions of the Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Reservation for Physically Handicapped, Dependents of Freedom Fighters, and Ex-Servicemen) Act, 1993 (as amended) and relevant updated rules/government orders.
• To avail reservation benefits under the ‘Uttar Pradesh Government Departments (Direct Recruitment of Outstanding Sportspersons to Group-C Posts) Rules-2022’ and relevant updated government orders, outstanding sportspersons of Uttar Pradesh must submit a certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format.
• In the case of female candidates, only a caste certificate issued based on the father’s side will be valid.
• Candidates claiming to be dependents of freedom fighters from Uttar Pradesh must ensure they possess a certificate issued in accordance with the government order dated April 21, 2015, which was issued pursuant to the ‘Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Reservation for Physically Disabled, Dependents of Freedom Fighters, and Ex-Servicemen) Act, 1993’ (as amended).
• Candidates claiming to be persons with physical disabilities must ensure that they possess a disability certificate issued by the competent authority in the updated format prescribed by the Office Memorandum No. 5/2022/18/1/2008/47/Ka-2/2022, dated 18-04-2022, of the Personnel Department-2, Government of Uttar Pradesh; and that the said certificate clearly specifies the type and percentage of the candidate’s disability.
• Candidates currently serving under the Central or State Government must obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer to participate in the selection process for the posts in question; this certificate must be submitted in the prescribed manner if requested by the Commission.
• Employees serving in State services shall be granted a relaxation of five years in the maximum age limit, in accordance with the Government Order No. 2-EM/2001-Ka-4-2013 dated August 27, 2013, issued by the Personnel Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
• With a view to providing relaxation in age limits and preference to research scholars under the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Scheme, the “Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Relaxation of Age Limit and Preference for Research Scholars under Chief Minister’s Fellowship Scheme for Competitive Examinations) Rules, 2026” have been issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh (Personnel Section-2) vide Notification No. 01/2026/06/47-Ka-2-2026 dated January 30, 2026, Lucknow.

• Accordingly, research scholars under the Chief Minister’s Fellowship Scheme shall be granted age relaxation and preference in accordance with the provisions mentioned in the said Rules.
• The decision of the Commission regarding the eligibility or ineligibility of a candidate shall be final.
• Candidates selected under the quotas for dependents of freedom fighters, persons with disabilities (Divyang), and ex-servicemen of Uttar Pradesh shall be placed in their respective categories in accordance with the rules prescribed in the Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Reservation for Physically Handicapped, Dependents of Freedom Fighters, and Ex-Servicemen) Act, 1993 (as amended).
• Reservation for women in direct recruitment to public services and posts under the State shall be admissible in accordance with the provisions laid down in Government Order No. 18/1/99/Ka-2/99, dated 26-02-1999 (as amended), and Government Order No. 39 Writ/Ka-2/2019, dated 26 June 2019, issued by Personnel Section-2. The said reservation granted to women shall be subject to the final verdict to be delivered by the Hon’ble High Court in Special Appeal (D) No. 475/2019, filed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh against the Hon’ble High Court’s order dated 16-01-2019. Female candidates from Uttar Pradesh shall be placed in the same vertical categories to which they belong; for this purpose, only a caste certificate issued based on the father’s lineage shall be valid.
• Candidates claiming reservation under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category—whose family income from all sources (salary, agriculture, trade, business, etc.) in the financial year preceding the year of application is less than Rs.8 lakh, and who fulfill the conditions prescribed in the ‘Uttar Pradesh Public Services (Reservation for Economically Weaker Sections) Act, 2020’ (promulgated via Notification No. 1577-79-Vi-1-20-1(Ka)4-20 dated August 31, 2020, by the Legislative Section-1 of the Government of Uttar Pradesh)—shall be eligible for 10% EWS reservation. Candidates applying under the EWS category are required to ensure that, prior to applying, they possess an EWS certificate issued between 01-04-2026 and 03-08-2026 (the last date of application); this certificate must be based on income from the financial year 2025-26 and be valid for the financial year 2026-27.
• Applicants in this category must submit the certificate in the format prescribed by the Personnel Section-2 of the Government of Uttar Pradesh vide Office Memorandum No. 3/2019/4/1/2002/Ka-2/19TC-II dated 14-03-2019.
