POWERGRID Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Eligibility

Candidates must have passed full-time regular course qualifications in one of the required trades:

  • ITI (Electrician) – Recognized government institute
  • Diploma – Civil or Electrical Engineering
  • Degree – B.E./B.Tech/B.Sc. (Engg)
  • MBA / MSW / BA (Hindi) as per designated trade
    Important: Part-time, online, or correspondence courses are not eligible. Final results must be declared and not pending.
  • Candidates must have passed their final exam within 2 years from the closing date (12-03-2024 to 11-03-2026).
  • Experience: No more than 1 year of job experience; apprentices should be fresh.
  • Not eligible if already completed or undergoing any apprenticeship training.
  • Medical Fitness: Final appointment is contingent on being medically fit as per Apprentices Act 1961 provisions.

  • The apprenticeship program runs for one year from the date of joining. During this period, apprentices are expected to complete training modules, attend orientations, and contribute to assigned tasks.
