Age Relaxation:

• SC/ST Candidates: Upper age limit relaxed by 5 years.
• OBC Candidates: Upper age limit relaxed by 3 years.
• Persons with Disabilities (PwBD): Upper age limit relaxed by 10 years.

Ex-Servicemen: 10(Ten) additional year for Ex-Servicemen (Ex SM) to the extent of service rendered in Defense Forces plus 03(Three) years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months service at a stretch, except those ex-servicemen will be considered against ExSM Quota, regardless of their community. If UR vacancies are not available the ExSM belonging to those particular communities whose vacancies are earmarked, will be considered against ExSM quota. This is applicable to an Ex-Serviceman applicant who applies for self, not applicable to their children.
• (a) An Ex-Servicemen selected under the reservation quota will be placed in the appropriate category (UR/SC/ST/OBC) to which he belongs.
• (b) Ex-Servicemen, their children, and the children of Armed Forces personnel shall be considered for apprenticeship engagement under the following categories.

RRC ECOR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Educational Qualification

Educational Qualification:

• Applicants must have passed Matriculation (10th Class) under the 10+2 examination system with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized Board.

Technical Qualification:

• Applicants must possess an ITI certificate in the relevant trade, affiliated to NCVT/Academic certificate, as per the Apprentice Act 1961.

• Note: Applicants whose SSC or ITI results are awaited as on the date of this notification are not eligible to apply.
• Applicants who have failed in ITI should not apply. If any such applicant is inadvertently engaged, the apprenticeship will be terminated immediately without any further notice.
• Engineering graduates and diploma holders are not eligible to apply under this notification, as they fall under a separate apprenticeship scheme.
• For Medical Laboratory Technician(Pathology), the candidate must be 12th pass (under 10+2 system) with physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum of 50% marks in both 10th & 12th. Copies of mark sheet & pass certificates of Class 10 and Class 12 (with Physics, Chemistry & Biology) must be uploaded for Medical Laboratory Technician(Pathology) post.
• For Secretarial Assistant and Stenographer, the candidate must be obtained National Trade Certificate (NTC) approved by NCVT/SCVT.
• For Computer Operator & Programming Assistant, the candidate must have Board base basic training in Information Technology Sector under centre of excellence scheme in repair and maintenance of hardware of computer and peripherals. Or Board base basic training in Information Technology Sector under centre of excellence scheme in repair and maintenance of hardware of computer networking.
• The candidate must be obtained National Trade Certificate (NTC) approved by NCVT/SCVT

RRC ECOR Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Important Instructions

• The decision of the Railway Administration in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, and allotment of Division/Workshop shall be final and binding.
• No correspondence will be entertained regarding engagement or selection.
• Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification of the candidature.
• Applicants must ensure that they fulfil all eligibility conditions before applying. If found erroneously engaged at any stage, such applicants shall be summarily dismissed without notice.
• The candidature of applicants will be cancelled if they fail to produce the required original documents for verification, or if any discrepancy is noticed.
• If found ineligible or erroneously engaged, the apprenticeship shall be terminated without any prior notice at any stage.
• The Railway Administration does not take responsibility for sending replies to applicants who are not selected or not called.
• No correspondence regarding the submitted application will be entertained.
• The Railway Administration shall not be held responsible for any inadvertent or typographical errors.
• No Daily Allowance (DA), Conveyance Allowance, or Travelling Allowance (TA) will be paid to applicants called for Document Verification.
• After selection, requests for change of Trade, Division, or Workshop will not be entertained. Candidates will be posted only within the jurisdiction of the concerned Division/Workshop.
• Applicants will be trained only in the trade for which they have been selected.
• Applicants selected for training will not be permitted to withdraw, except for reasons beyond their control.
• Those who wilfully remain absent from training shall be liable to refund the entire cost of training as well as the stipend paid, as determined by the Central Apprenticeship Adviser.
